Frequently Asked Questions

Q Can I pay by credit card?

Yes. We accept all major international credit cards.

Q Do you accept international travel insurance?

Yes, we do. In most cases, we issue an English medical certificate and receipt, which you can submit to your insurance company after returning home to claim reimbursement. We have NOT had any problems with this process so far.

Q I’m injured. Can you treat me?

We are sorry, but we do NOT treat injuries or trauma at our clinic.

Q Can you see children?

We generally do NOT provide pediatric care. We can perform flu and COVID-19 tests for children aged 6 and older, but only symptomatic treatment is available. If you are concerned about your child, we recommend seeing a pediatrician.

Q I’m pregnant. Can you provide pregnancy testing or see me for health problems during pregnancy?

We are sorry, but we do NOT provide obstetric or gynecologic care at our clinic, so we are unable to see patients for pregnancy testing or medical problems during pregnancy.

Q Do you offer vaccines such as tetanus, rabies, influenza, and COVID-19?

Yes. We provide vaccinations such as tetanus, rabies, influenza, and COVID-19. Please feel free to contact us for more information.

Q Do you accept walk-ins without an appointment?

Yes, walk-ins are always welcome! While appointments are appreciated, we understand that illness doesn't wait — simply come in during our opening hours and our English-speaking staff will take care of you right away.

Q How much does a doctor visit cost in Kyoto for tourists?

A typical visit, including consultation and prescription, costs between ¥12,000 and ¥25,000 depending on the examination and tests required. There are no hidden fees — our staff will give you a clear cost estimate before any additional procedures. We accept major credit cards and travel insurance.

Q Can you provide medical certificates for travel insurance claims, flight cancellations, and fit-to-fly clearance?

Yes, we regularly issue medical certificates and official documentation in English for travel insurance claims, flight cancellations, and trip interruption coverage. Please let our staff know at the time of your visit so we can prepare the appropriate paperwork.
